I love to shop (within reason) but my days of perusing the stores are few and far between now that I have a little one in tow. However, with online shopping I can virtually set my feet in the stores from the comfort of my home. No lugging the baby carrier in and out of the car, and hoping the stores have shopping carts to fit it in! I find online shopping to be a blessing (maybe a curse to my husband).

I also enjoy reading fashion/ style blogs and am blown away by some of the ones out there full of clothing DIY projects, style tips, and pretty much amazingly creative ensembles. Now I neither possess a deft hand for sewing nor have the fashion sense to style a creative outfit but I enjoy reading about the feats of others, especially those who work with a stringent budget.

On that note here are a few meager shopping tips I’ve stumbled upon:

Retail me not– just type in any store (for online shopping), and it will come up with coupon codes and discounts people have used. Sometimes there won’t be anything useful, but several times I’ve gotten free shipping or discounts, so doesn’t hurt to check!

Amazon Mom– same site as Amazon, but if you sign up you get free 2-day shipping on most baby/ kid/ maternity things for 3 mos. They also have some special deals. Has been such a time saver!

This one won’t be big news for many people, but Consignment sales for kids can be great $$ savers. The clothes are in good condition and sometimes new, and you can find great brands for minimal moolah.

Do you have any tips/ shopping advice?
