Every season there are various events or places we try to attend/visit and the Fall Festival at Cox Farms is one thing we’ve made it to every year since Evie made us a family of three.
I love being able to compare the photos from yesteryear…
You know when you just really, really want your kid to have fun and it utterly backfires? That was our visit this year. There are so many awesome slides, swings, and forts made of hay bales there, so I was really looking forward to Evie finally getting to experience some of the action this year! We went with my sister and one of her friends who has 5 month old twin boys- they were so good and content to simply people watch from their stroller. Poor Evie missed her nap that day so our Cox Farm visit involved a hefty dose of meltdowns. She was so tired she finally passed out in the stroller, and Audrey joined her. Always next year, right? ;)
Another fav place we make the rounds to (almost) every year is Marker Miller Orchard. This was a photo from last year:
I thought it would be a cute idea to take another this year. Evie started fussing but I insisted- clearly the universe would implode if we did not recreate this photo!
Evie vehemently disagreed…
I’m slowly learning to release my smother-mother tendencies and let her do her thing.
Everything about the day, though, was just idyllic. The weather was sunny, mild and breezy, and of course all the colors of autumn looked brilliant. I could not stop commenting about it all and am sure I sounded like Miss Bates all day.
Here is an overload of photos from our day. Sorry if you feel as though you’ve been spammed with fall images!

Hope you had a good weekend! I’m feeling a little like this today:
